This is a blog about my brain

I first started writing about my brain back in 2019, not long after I had left hospital.

I had this deep longing to write down how I felt, and why I felt it was important to do so.

My girlfriend at the time was very supportive, and told me I should write a book about my experiences and how it had affected me. So, well, I did.

This blog is not only to talk about mental health, but also talk about everything around the brain – family, friends, loved ones, strangers, whoever. Because mental health does not just impact whoever has a bruised brain. It impacts a whole community.

I hope that with this blog, I can inspire change, or help/guide someone on their mental journey. Perhaps you’ve just been diagnosed, or you’re starting to lose grip on reality.

That all happened to me, and I don’t want it to happen to anyone I know and love.

Here’s hoping I can make some change – change for the better – and reduce some common stigmas surrounding this really shitty illness.

Love,

Zak
